âAbundance doesnât begin when life is easyâit begins when we open our eyes."Â â Inspired by John 10:10
Dear Friends in Christ,
I canât tell you how excitedâand humbledâI am to step into this new season with you. As I launch Unveiling Abundance, I want to pause before we explore any specific season of life, and really anchor ourselves in what Godâs abundance actually is, and what it means to unveil it.
Because if we donât first understand what weâre looking for, how will we recognize it? Iâm not just launching a new formatâIâm stepping forward in faith, trusting that this message will meet you right where you are, in the very season God has you.
What Does It Mean to Unveil Abundance?
The word âunveilâ means to uncover, reveal, or bring into the light something that was hidden or not fully seen. For many of us, Godâs abundance can feel like thatâelusive, invisible, maybe even unavailable.
But itâs not. In fact, Godâs abundance is all around usâwoven into our lives, even in the hard and quiet places. The issue isnât whether it existsâitâs whether weâve trained our hearts to see it.
And thatâs exactly what Jesus invites us into in John 10:10:
âThe thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.â
Before we talk about abundance, we have to acknowledge what steals it.
The thiefâour enemyâworks tirelessly to rob us of peace, joy, contentment, identity, and connection with God. Not always through dramatic attacks, but through subtle lies:
- âYouâre not enough.â
- âYouâll never have what you need.â
- âYou missed your moment.â
- âGod is silent.â
These lies dim our ability to recognize what we already have in Christ.
But Jesus flips that script:
âI came that they may have lifeâŚâ â not just eternal life someday, but real life here and now, filled with meaning, freedom, and restoration. ââŚand have it abundantly.â
This word in Greekâperissosâmeans exceedingly, beyond measure, more than expected. It's not about material gain; itâs about spiritual overflow.
> Unveiling abundance means learning to recognize Godâs goodness and provision right where we are. > It means shifting our eyes from lack to overflow, from striving to surrender, from fear to fullness.
Abundance isnât found in perfect circumstancesâitâs found in presence. In Jesus, we donât just surviveâwe thrive. Not always in comfort, but in confidence. Not always in answers, but in assurance that He is with us.
To unveil abundance is to live aware. To look at our days and ask: âWhere is God already here? What am I overlooking? Where is the overflow hiding?â
Itâs not about striving for more. Itâs about seeing whatâs already been given.
But what if we went even deeper?Â

Scripture Exploration: What Does the Bible Say About Abundance?
Godâs Word is clearâHe is a God of more than enough.
Letâs slow down and look closely at John 10:10: âI came that they may have lifeâŚâ
- This is personal. Jesus doesnât speak generallyâHe speaks to you.
- He came not just to rescue you, but to restore you.
- That life is not delayed until heavenâit begins now in relationship with Him.
ââŚand have it abundantly.â
- This is a promise, not a suggestion.
- Abundance is not the absence of hardshipâitâs the presence of Christ in the middle of it.
Now look at how this theme shows up throughout Scripture: You can also use these to go deeper.
-
2 Corinthians 9:8 (NIV):
âAnd God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.â
-
Psalm 23:5:
âYou prepare a table before me... You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.â
-
Psalm 16:11 (ESV):Â âYou make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.â
-
Jeremiah 31:14 (CSB):Â âMy people will be satisfied with My goodness.â
-
Romans 15:13 (NIV):Â âMay the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope...â
These passages arenât promises of wealth or ease, but instead show us that abundance is:
- Rooted in presence
- Expressed through peace, joy, trust, and hope
- Overflowing from the inside out
They are promises of fullness, presence, purpose, and sufficiencyâexactly what our hearts need, exactly when we need it.
