Our April & May charity is Street Medics for the People.
This Denver Community organization’s mission is to feed the hungry, provide clothing, hygiene and provide basic to advanced medical care to the homeless community. In addition to the tangible support, they provide fellowship, love, faith and hope to the Denver community. They hold events 3 times a week in various parts of the city where food is served, and medical care is available to serve those in need free of charge. They are dedicated to making everyone feel like they count.
In observance of Mental Health Month Awareness Month we are hosting local author Dr. John Narine. His book, LEADING WORKPLACE ADDICTION is more than just a book. Its' mission is to empower business leaders on solution-based strategies that help them provide encouragement and practical guidance for their employees impacted by addiction to keep the workplace safe, healthy, and productive. Mental health and addicition especially in the workplace is an area that can be difficult to deal with. Come hear strategies that can help leaders navigate in this area. Dr. Narine will be reading and discussing his book and will have signed copies available for purchase. The event will begin at 11 a.m. at Shades of Divine 969 E. Bridge Street. Brighton, Colorado.
